Frequently asked questions

Ada Sale Ke? shows the cheapest Nintendo eShop region for each Switch and Switch 2 game, in ringgit. We don’t sell games; you buy on the eShop itself.

About this site

Does Ada Sale Ke? sell games?

No. We don't sell games, codes or accounts. We check Switch and Switch 2 game prices in 19 Nintendo eShop regions every day, convert them to RM, and show which region is cheapest. You still buy straight from the Nintendo eShop on your console.

How often are prices updated?

Once a day, at about 8:30 am Malaysia time. A sale that starts or ends after that shows up in the next day’s update.

Why is the RM price here a little different from what my bank charged?

Malaysia eShop prices are real ringgit prices. Other regions are estimates we convert at the European Central Bank (ECB) reference rate. Your bank and card use their own rate and sometimes add a foreign transaction fee, so the real amount can be a bit higher. If you pay with a gift card, what matters is the price in that region’s currency, shown in the "Local price" column.

What does "Lowest ever" mean?

The current price is lower than every price we have recorded for that game since we started tracking it. The price history chart on each game page shows when tracking started and every price change.

Why is the game or DLC I’m looking for missing?

Our game list comes from Nintendo’s catalogs. A game or DLC can be missing for a few reasons:

  • Hong Kong, Japan and Americas prices only exist for games we can match to Nintendo’s catalog there.
  • Some DLC is only sold in a bundle (an Expansion Pass, for example) that isn’t listed in the catalogs we read.
  • Free DLC isn’t listed.
  • Adult games are filtered out on purpose.

If a game should be here, email [email protected].

Buying on the Malaysia eShop

How do I buy on the Malaysia eShop?

Nintendo opened the Malaysia eShop on 18 November 2025, with prices shown in ringgit.

  1. Sign in at accounts.nintendo.com and check the country under User Info. Accounts made before the Malaysia eShop opened may still be set to another country.
  2. If it isn’t Malaysia, change it first. Read the question about eShop balance below before you do.
  3. Open the Nintendo eShop on your console, find the game, and pay with a debit or credit card issued in Malaysia.

Should I buy on the Malaysia eShop or another region?

If the difference is small, buy on the Malaysia eShop. You don’t need another account or a gift card, and there’s no exchange rate to worry about. Other regions are worth it when the gap is large. Each game page shows the Malaysia eShop price next to the cheapest region, and "Cheapest way to buy" suggests the most sensible option.

Buying from other regions

Can I buy games from another region’s eShop?

Yes. There are two ways:

  • Change your Nintendo Account’s country each time you want to buy from another region. It’s simple, but there are rules about your eShop balance (see the next question).
  • Make a separate Nintendo Account for each region, with a different email address. With Gmail, an address like [email protected] still lands in [email protected], so you don’t need a new inbox. Add that account as a user on your Switch and open the eShop as that user.

The Switch doesn’t region-lock games, so a game bought in another region plays on your console. Check its languages first, especially Japanese and Hong Kong versions.

What happens to my eShop balance when I change my account’s country?

According to Nintendo, your eShop balance doesn’t move to the new country:

  • Americas accounts can’t change country while they have a balance. Spend it down to zero first.
  • Other regions may let you change, but the balance is lost.
  • Auto-renewing subscriptions (Nintendo Switch Online, for example) and pre-orders that haven’t released can also block the change. Cancel them first.

That’s why many people prefer a separate account for each region.

How do I pay on another region’s eShop?

Nintendo usually only accepts debit and credit cards issued in that eShop’s country. The US eShop takes US cards, for example, and the Japan eShop rejects foreign cards. A Malaysian bank card usually won’t work in other regions.

The surest way is a Nintendo eShop gift card for that region, sold by online gift card shops. On this site, regions with a gift card icon are United Kingdom, Eurozone, Australia, Poland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Japan, Brazil, United States, Canada, Mexico.

Make sure the gift card’s region matches your account’s country. A US gift card won’t work on a UK account.

Why did my payment fail?

The usual reasons:

  • Not enough balance. RM prices here are estimates, so top up a little more than the price shown.
  • The card was issued in a different country from the eShop.
  • The gift card is for the wrong region.
  • An old transaction is stuck. Remove the card saved in your Nintendo Account and try again, or use another payment method.

If nothing works, contact Nintendo support with the error code you got.

Which region should I buy DLC in?

Buy DLC on the same account and region as the account that owns the base game, so the game recognises it. Each DLC page shows its price in every region where it’s sold.
